What Standing is
There are two kinds. Reviewer Standing is earned by writing reviews that other members find useful. Founder Standing is earned by the work of running an app well, and it follows the person across all their apps.
Each kind has three tiers: Newcomer, Contributor and Trusted. A tier is derived from public actions and recalculated as they happen. Nobody on our team hands one out.
Reviewer Standing
Contributor starts at 10 points. Trusted needs 40 points or more, 3 or more counted reviews, 30 or more days as a member, helpful votes from 5 or more different people, and no penalty in the last 60 days.
| What happens | Points | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Your review becomes counted | +1 | 10 points per 30 days |
| A counted member marks your review helpful | +1 | 10 points per review |
| Your feedback led to a Fixed in | +5 | Once per review, 3 per month |
Founder Standing
Contributor starts at 10 points. Trusted needs 40 points or more, 2 or more months active, replies to 5 or more different reviewers, a reply rate of 80% or more over at least 5 eligible reviews, and no upheld false declaration.
Reviews less than 3 days old are not counted yet, so they are not part of the reply rate. Founder Standing does not affect an app's rank in the beta.
| What happens | Points | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| You reply to a counted review within 7 days (20 characters or more) | +2 | 20 points per app per month |
| You post an update | +3 | 2 per app per month |
| A Fixed in the reviewer confirmed | +3 | The reviewer must count, once per review |
| Your links stay healthy for a full month | +1 | Paused after 14 days down |
| Your interview is published | +10 | Confirmed by our team |
Caps and why
Limits stop anyone farming points. Votes only count from members whose reviews count; friends, rivals and brand-new accounts earn the author nothing.
Penalties and appeals
Penalties are added as new entries, never edits. You will get a notification with the reason and a way to appeal. An accepted appeal restores the points. Your total never goes below 0. Penalties are not shown on public profiles.
| Reason | Points |
|---|---|
| A link down for 14 days or more | −3 |
| Spam or abuse removed by our team | −10 |
| A false declaration upheld | −10 |
| A vote ring voided (each member) | −10 |
| Review manipulation upheld | −15 |
What never counts
Nothing here can be paid for.

How charts work
An app joins a chart after 3 reviews that count. A review counts when it is published, from an account at least 7 days old, and not from the maker's known contacts or a rival app's maker.
Rank uses a weighted score, so an app with a higher star average but fewer reviews can sit lower. A single 5-star review never outranks fifty 4.6-star reviews.
A review from a Contributor counts 1.15 times, a Trusted reviewer 1.3 times, and a Newcomer 1 time. Saying you tried the app adds 10%. No single review counts for more than 1.5.
Top free lists free and freemium apps. Top paid lists paid apps. Trending looks at counted reviews from the last 14 days: an app needs reviews from 2 different people, an overall score at or above the platform average, and 3 counted reviews overall.
An app with a dead link, or one that is hidden, leaves the charts. Clicks, saves, views and payment never move a chart.
Beta charts are small. Treat them as a conversation, not a leaderboard.
Awards
App of the Month and Maker of the Month are chosen by a person on our team. The system shortlists from the data, a person confirms, and nobody on the team can award their own app or themselves.
Maker of the Month goes to the highest Standing gained that month.
